Dr. Ellen Dozier Brewer (Class of 1918) was a Professor of Home Economics from 1922 to 1966. Dr. Brewer was also a long-time scrapbook maker, commemorating the Home Economics Department at Meredith, but also collections of personal interest. One of her 1940s scrapbooks (pictured here) is devoted to dogs – dogs in illustrations, pictures, magazine and newspaper clippings, greeting cards, and poems.
