Preschool Classroom at Meredith College – NOW ENROLLING!

The Meredith Autism Program (MAP), with the support of the Meredith College Psychology Department, is excited to announce enrollment for the 2018-19 school year for the Explorers Inclusive Preschool Classroom. Taught by B-K licensed teacher Melissa Snell, our classroom offers a small teaching setting where typical children can develop pre-academic skills needed for Kindergarten, while also learning how to be an understanding support system for other children.

Effective immediately, MAP is opening five slots for typical children between the ages of three and four years old. These children must be fully potty trained and eager to learn and help others. Children enrolled in the Explorers classroom will serve as peer models for the children enrolled at MAP for social and play skills, as well as communication and language skills. Families will enroll in the preschool classroom for the entire academic calendar (Tuesday, September 4, 2018 – Friday, May 24, 2019) for five mornings per week. The classroom hours are 9am to 12:30pm. To learn more about our inclusive preschool classroom, please click here.
