Join us in welcoming the Class of 2019 to campus!

Do you remember when you first arrived to campus as a freshman at Meredith? Perhaps you fondly recall driving under the balloon arch to cheers of welcome. The Class of 2019 will arrive to campus on Saturday, August 15th, and we invite you to join us in welcoming these new students and their families to Meredith! This is your opportunity to relive one of your treasured Meredith memories but without the unpacking! Alumnae are invited to participate in the following move in day activities:

8-10 am or 10 am-Noon: Front Lawn Greeters
Families will be stationed in the front lawn area adjacent to the soccer field and will be directed by Campus Police to their assigned residence hall in increments. During this time, we invite alumnae to visit families and welcome them to campus.

8-10 am or 10 am-Noon: Front Drive Welcome
Alumnae will be stationed near the Johnson Hall fountain area to welcome students as they are directed to their residence halls. Alumnae welcoming students along the Front Drive will be provided with signs and banners.

8:30-10 am or 10 am-Noon: Door to Door Hall Greeters
Incoming students will be provided with gifts from the Alumnae Association. Alumnae will visit students and families in their room to drop off these gifts, answer questions and welcome them to Meredith.

1-3 pm: Commuter Greeters
Commuter students will arrive and check in on campus at the Cate Center. Alumnae volunteers will greet students and their families as well as provide them with a gift from the Alumnae Association.

We hope you will join the Alumnae Association in offering a warm, Meredith welcome to the Class of 2019! When responding with your interest and availability, please let us know if you would be interested in purchasing a move in day t-shirt for alumnae volunteers to wear throughout the day.
