The Admissions Office needs your help!

Greetings from the Office of Admissions,

I hope your summer is off to a great start!  We are certainly staying busy this summer preparing for new freshmen to arrive in August and starting to think about travel and high school visits this fall.  The Admissions Office needs your help to recruit the next class of Meredith Angels!

I recently conducted a college fair updates training during Alumnae Reunion Weekend in May with several local and out-of-state alumnae.  This training gave alumnae an opportunity to ask questions about college fairs and what their role will be at a fair.  If you were not able to attend the training and would like to receive information about college fairs, please e-mail me at buryka1@meredith.edu.  Our admission counselors will be gearing up for fall travel soon, attending college fairs, and scheduling local and out-of-state high school visits, and we need your help!

If there are any out-of-state alumnae who were athletes at Meredith College, please e-mail me.  We’d love to connect you with prospective athletes.  Our lacrosse team won the conference for the first time this year and received a bid to the NCAA tournament.  The program has only been in existence for two years.  We are proud of these women for all of their accomplishments and hard work!

One of the recruitment goals in the Admissions Office is to increase out-of-state applications.  We will be targeting specific out-of-state markets and contacting alumnae in those areas to reach out to prospective students.  More to come on this initiative, but we are looking forward to utilizing more out-of-state alumnae to help recruit students.

Lastly, don’t forget to use the online referral form to refer a student.  The link for the form is http://www.meredith.edu/alumnae/refer-a-student.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions about ARMS.  I wish each of you a relaxing summer!

Sincerely,
Anna Buryk ‘09
Assistant Director of Admissions
