Alumnae in Recruitment

Greetings from the Office of Admissions!  My name is Anna Buryk and I am an Assistant Director of Admissions and an alumna from the Class of 2009.  Shery Boyles, Director of Admissions, and I are excited to announce Meredith’s new alumnae recruitment volunteer program.  Alumnae have important stories to share with our prospective students – compelling stories that will help high school students understand why Meredith can be a great fit for their future. We value your help with bringing in the class!  Many of you have helped in the past.  Others of you have volunteered to lend a hand with recruitment but have not yet had an opportunity. Now is the time!

What is the alumnae recruitment group’s first order of business? Naming rights!  You are invited to help name the alumnae recruitment volunteer group.  Be brilliant!  Be creative!  And be sure to respond to buryka1@meredith.edu by Monday, February 25th with your best ideas.  After you submit your idea(s), please check the blog on Wednesday, Feb. 27th for the top two suggested names.  Then, place your vote! Submit your vote to me via e-mail by Friday, March 1st.  This is your chance to make history by submitting names for Meredith’s first official alumnae recruitment program!

As an alumna recruitment volunteer you will be invited to assist the Admissions Office in a variety of ways. Possibilities include phone calling, writing notes and e-mails, assisting at campus visit events, talent scouting, and representing the college at college fairs.  Training is required for all volunteers.

Send us your best ideas for naming the group. Watch for more details from me coming soon.

Thank you for helping us bring in the class!

-Anna Buryk, ’09
