Fall Family Event Recap

Pumpkins are everywhere, leaves are falling, the air is crisp. Fall is here!

Sunday, October 21st marked the third annual Young Alumnae Board Fall Family Event: Pumpkin Painting and Soccer. In the past the event has been held in the Science and Math Building Courtyard, but this year the event was hosted at the top of the McIver Amphitheater. Also new to this event was the opportunity for guests to practice their soccer skills on the Avenging Angels Soccer Field.  We had over 25 kids at the soccer play-time! Assistant Coach Ashley Riggs, Head Coach Paul Smith, and the Avenging Angels soccer team played games and practiced drills with the kids on the official game field.

Following the soccer play-time families made their way to the top of the McIver Amphitheater for pumpkin painting, crafts, corn-hole, snacks and drinks! We had over 50 kids at the pumpkin painting.  Families also enjoyed picnicking in the amphitheater.

After the pumpkin painting, families gathered to watch the Avenging Angels play Averett.

We had a wonderful turnout and are so happy to have so many alumnae and their families return to campus! Happy Fall Y’all!

On Thursday, November 15th at 6pm the Young Alumnae Board will host a Sip & Sew at Pins and & Needles Studio, owned by Nan Alexander, ’72. Bring two t-shirts and thread to make a fabulous t-shirt skirt. This event is offered FREE of charge! Appetizers, drinks, & wine will be served. Space for this event is very limited, please RSVP to The Office of Alumnae Relations today to secure your spot by calling 919.760.8070 or emailing alumnae@meredith.edu
