Greetings from the Meredith College Young Alumnae Board

The Meredith College Young Alumnae Board was established to promote the active involvement of recent graduates in the life of the college. The Board is comprised of and serves alumnae who have received degrees from Meredith within the past ten years. We strive to encourage dialogue between our alumnae and our beloved Alma Mater and provide a vehicle for ideas, thoughts, and concerns. We focus on three key areas: student recruitment  fundraising, and programming  The board meets approximately eight times a year and hosts both  fall and spring social events as well as mother’s events. We are thrilled to be able to serve our alumnae and take our responsibilities seriously! Please see the biography’s below to learn a little more about this year’s board!

Favorite Meredith Memory: My favorite memory to this day is move in day. I will never forget when a current student said to me, “Hi are you my RA do you know where I get my keys to the room?” and I laughed and said “Hi I am actually your roommate!” She thought I was the RA because I was already rocking a Meredith T-shirt (one of the many I would collect). That “girl” was my roommate all four years in college on campus and off, my neighbor when we bought townhouses across the street from each other after college, and she will now be my matron of honor this year at my wedding. I guess that is why I still love move in day, because I know these girls are starting their next step in life and meeting the girls that will be their sisters forever.
