Meredith Ensemble Theatre will present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music,” February 14-19. Performances are Tuesday, February 14-Saturday, February 18 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, February 19 at 3 p.m. in Jones Auditorium.
Highlights from this beloved musical, which first opened on Broadway in 1959, include: “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “Edelweiss” and “Sixteen Going on Seventeen.”
Meredith’s production of this wonderful story of the Von Trapp family singers features Rose Turchi as Maria and Meredith Associate Professor of Theatre Steven Roten as Captain Georg von Trapp.
Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for students/seniors, and free for Meredith students, faculty and staff.
