Tuscan Intensives in Sansepolcro, Italy

If you are thinking of joining us for “Following the Piero Trail,” April 11-26 taught by Jin And Maureen Banker or “A Taste of Tuscany,” May 5-17 taught by Margherita Tirabosco, please send in your $500 deposit to secure your spot.  These are short mini-courses combined with daily excursions and local experiences in Sansepolcro and surrounding Tuscan towns. This program has been designed especially for alumnae to give you the opportunity to participate in the Meredith College campus abroad at the Palazzo Alberti in Sansepolcro, Italy; however, friends and relatives are also welcome.

“Following the Piero Trail” will include excursions to Urbino, Arezzo, Anghiari, Citta di Castello, Perugia and Monterchi while exploring the life and times of the 15th century artist, Piero della Francesca, who was born in Sansepolcro.  You will also have one free day to travel independently.  Click here for the exciting itinerary. For more information on the whole program check out our International Programs website for a detailed brochure with all costs, an Application Form and information about the Palazzo Alberti and our Sansepolcro programs for students of all ages.

If you are interested in learning the culinary arts of Italy, you do not want to miss “A Taste of Tuscany,” May 5-17, taught by Margherita Tirabosco, the chef at the Palazzo Alberti. You will cook with Margherita in the mornings, eat what you have prepared for pranzo (lunch), and travel to neighboring towns in the afternoons to farmer’s markets, farms, vineyards, and a culinary school. You will also meet other chefs from the area and explore the medieval town of Sansepolcro.  Click here for an itinerary that explains all the delicious dishes you will learn how to prepare and the places you will visit.

If you want to spend a month in Tuscany, sign up for both Tuscan Intensives and travel around Italy in-between!

If you would like a printed Tuscan Intensive Brochure, please email Linda FitzSimons at lfitzsimons@nc.rr.com with your name and address. One will be mailed to you.

Reminder: Deposits are due by January 20, 2012.  Don’t miss these exciting opportunities to visit Italy!
