Leadership Conference for High School Women

The Meredith College Office of Student Leadership and Service, in conjunction with the Office of Admissions, invites young women who are currently in their junior year of high school to participate in a free one-day conference to develop and sharpen their leadership skills.  The conference will take place on February 4, 2012 from 9:15am-4pm. 

Whether one is already a student government officer, a team captain, or simply has an interest in becoming a leader, this conference is designed with young women in mind.  In addition to being able to choose from workshops on various leadership topics, participants enjoy the wonderful opportunity to interact with scores of other North Carolina student leaders!

Conference schedule:

9:15 – 10 a.m.           Registration

10 – 10:30 a.m.         Welcome

10:40 – 11:30 a.m.   Leadership Session 1

11:45 – 1:30 p.m.     Lunch and Keynote Speaker, Dr. Jo Allen, President / Leadership Session 2

1:40 – 2:30 p.m.        Leadership Session 3

2:45 – 3:15 p.m.        Closing Session

3:15 – 4 p.m.             Admissions Session/Campus Tour (optional)

A diverse offering of workshops presented during the leadership sessions are each facilitated by Meredith faculty, staff, and students, and allow participants the opportunity to explore a range of topics related to leadership.

Registration and further information:

Interested participants should visit the conference website at www.meredith.edu/admissions/lc  and complete the online form by Friday, January 27. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation e-mail with more detailed information. Space is limited to only 250 participants; thus we ask that participants please register only when certain they will be in attendance.
