The Meredith College Fashion Association is once again working to help bring prom dresses to high school students in the Raleigh area. The Cinderella Project, started eight years ago, provides free prom dresses to high school students who might not otherwise be able to afford to purchase a new dress for the big night. The Meredith Fashion Association, under the direction of Dr. Diane Ellis, is collecting new and gently used evening gowns and dresses from the last three-four years. The dresses will be given out on March 19th and 20th at a store in the North Hills shopping center. All dresses not given away will be donated to Good Will.
If you would like to contribute to the Cinderella Project, please drop donations by Martin 204 between 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday. The last day to donate is March 15th.
For additional information or questions, please contact Diane Ellis at ellisdi@meredith.edu.

Hi, I was wondering when the dates for 2013 will be, as well as where at specifically? Thanks!
Because of unforeseen circumstances, The Cinderella Project scheduled for this weekend has been canceled. The event was scheduled for Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24.
Will it be rescheduled then?
Unfortunately, it will not be rescheduled this year. The project will return in 2014.
Is this something you will be doing in 2012? I have a bridesmaid dress from this past October that would make a good prom dress.
Thanks for thinking of this! Yes, this is an annual project. We do not have any information on this year’s dates but will be sure to post something on the blog once we know! Thank you!
I would like to know what store exactly will it be in???
The store will be located at Scout and Molly’s from 12:00-5:00pm on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th.
