Holiday Tea Held for College Donors

On December 5, 2010, more than 60 alumnae and friends of the College attended a Holiday Tea preceding the Meredith College Holiday Concert.  The Holiday Tea is an annual event, and this year the occasion honored donors who are members of the Rotunda Club, Iris Club, Iris Club-President’s Circle, Thomas Meredith Society, Stringfield Endowment Society, and Heritage Society.

During the fiscal year, members of these giving clubs and societies support Meredith by giving a minimum of $500 annually or have made other types of investments in Meredith such as an endowment or by naming Meredith in a will, trust, or annuity.  Additionally, faculty and staff supporters and donors who made their first gifts to The Meredith Fund were invited to join the festivities.

As special holiday entertainment, the Meredith College Bathtub Ring sang a collection of joyful carols to help get everyone at the Holiday Tea “warmed up” for the concert to follow.

Steve & Connie Mullinix enjoy the Holiday Tea.
